Mario Gulino

The Hero – With his Sicilian origins he is an expert in climbing, canoeing, marathon and apnea. Physical fatigue do not make him worried and the bike wheels are a natural extension of his heart.

Marco Passarini

The Dutch – He might be a stuntmen of McGyver because he can do wonders with just a paper clip. Great pedal and excellent fork, Marco has the bike in his DNA.

Simone Fuso

Lord Simon - Refined connoisseur of good food, this intrepid guy from Umbria lives always very successfully alongside Mario and Marco, both on trains and by bike.

Ferdinando Marinozzi

Il Ciclomacchinista - Trasferito in Francia per amore ma sempre compagno di due ruote, è tornato in Italia apposta per Pedala Per Un Respiro!

Why supporting LIFC

LIFC

Why supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Italian League (LIFC)

Cystic Fibrosis is one of the most common genetic disease in the country. In Italy every week 4 babies are born with this disease and in total it is estimated that there are about 6,000 patients; of these approximately 50% are 18 years old or older and the life expectancy for a child born today is 40 years.

CF is a multi-system disease that affects multiple organs and causes a variety of problems (frequent lung infections, pneumonia, infertility, severe intestinal disorders and much more), especially for the respiratory system. Often in order to survive organ transplants may be needed, even at a young age. The sport and the use of exercise bikes are among the activities recommended by doctors to relieve the symptoms of the desease (that’s why the project is called “Ride for a Breath“).

Tuscany LIFC continues his struggle, often against the indifference of the population, to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. That is why #RideForaBreath has the purpose of:

  • Raise funds to support children, families and research
  • Improve the quality of life of families
  • Raise awareness
  • Communicate with FC associations in the countries along the journey
  • Create an invisible chain of solidarity from every stage of the journey

Did you know that the song “I LIVED” by OneRepublic is inspired by the difficult lives of children with cystic fibrosis? Watch this exciting VIDEO, listen to his words and you will understand why it is worth helping us fighting it:
